Racine County Camping
Campground Reservations / Individual Sites – Cliffside and Sanders Parks

Racine County has designated individual camping sites at Cliffside and Sanders Parks.  There are a limited number of camping sites available that are non-reservable and are available on a first come, first served basis.  Campground rules apply to all campers. The camping season is the second weekend in April though the second weekend in October.

Cliffside is one of our most well known parks because of the number of visitors camping at the 92 site campgrounds. The camping area has electric and water sites and can accommodate anything from tents to large RV's with slide-outs. There are bathrooms with showers and play areas for the campers. Many local families also use the campgrounds for "get-away" weekends to relax by the lake. For the non-campers, Cliffside offers baseball/softball fields, tennis, basketball and soccer fields as well as 2 shelter areas with picnic tables, grills and electric. The bike trail is nearby, so there are many ways to enjoy this northside park.

This park features a marked nature trail through a 20 acre designated State Scientific area. There is also a 5 acre campground, athletic facilities and picnic areas. The picnic shelter has an open-hearth fireplace and is set amid the parks natural foliage.

Campground Reservations / Group Camping – Cliffside Park and W. R. Wadewitz Nature Camp

Group Camping sites at Cliffside Park and W.R. Wadewitz Nature Camp are available for any chartered or licensed not for profit organization.  Reservations are required for group camping. Self-registration is not permitted for group campsites.  Designated tent sites require a 3-tent minimum.  Cliffside Park group camping can be reserved form second weekend in April though the second weekend in October. Wadewitz Nature Camp is available for group camping year round.

This former Boy Scout camp still functions as a primitive group camp site with Adirondack style shelters, nature and hiking trails and cross county ski trails during the winter months. This natural resource orientated site contains some of the finest glacial topography and wooded vegetation to be found in the county.

Picnic Area Picture Cliffside Park – Group Camping
This park not only has a large individual camp site area but it also has three large group camping locations within its outer loop. Your group will be able to enjoy all the individual site amenities while sill being secluded in your own camping area with parking.
